Well Grounded is a social enterprise that helps adults facing multiple disadvantages into work in the specialty coffee industry. We support people who have a range of complex needs and many have come from periods of long-term unemployment. Well Grounded enables the UK's unemployed with the skills, qualifications, practical support and job opportunities to secure and maintain successful careers. In turn, we provide the coffee industry to access skilled, passionate and committed employees. To date Well Grounded has supported 163 people into work.

COVID-19 has made the people we support even more exposed to the risks of long-term unemployment. We have extended our after-care programme in light of the COVID-19 crisis and are now supporting our Graduates with care packages, employment, mental health and wellbeing support and virtual training to help then access fun, interesting and coffee technical training to address the new realities of the hospitality sector today and a post-COVID world. We believe that this platform will not only serve our Graduates but many other coffee industry workers who may be facing adversity in at present and in the months to come.
